The Elections Department lobby will reopen to the public effective Monday, July 6, 2020. The following election related services will continue to be available online; candidate nomination documents, voter registration, informational inquiries regarding voter registration, voting status, change of address request, change of political party request, and historic election results.
In accordance with State mandates and for the safety of our staff and public, anyone wishing to enter the Elections Department will be required to wear a face covering. In order to allow for social distancing as required by CDC guidelines only three members of the public will be allowed in the lobby at a time; candidates filing nomination documents will be given priority.

General Election Information (Candidate Guide)
Candidates wishing to file for office must complete and submit a Candidate Documents Request to: Elections@CountyofKings.com. Elections Staff will process the request and a County of Kings Candidate Packet will be sent to the email address provided on the document request. Your County of Kings Candidate Packet will include the following forms: Declaration of Candidacy documents, Ballot Designation Worksheet, and FPPC Form 700.

The Kings County Elections Department conducts Federal, State, School, County, City, and Special District elections.
We are located in the Finance Building, across the breezeway from the Assessor's Office. Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Our ELECTION RESULTS web page is the place to find up to date information from our most current election. If you would like to see what the vote was in recent previous elections click on the green Election Results button and then on the historic results link. Check out the Campaign Disclosure section, which can be found by clicking on the green Other Information button. It is designed to help candidates and committees understand their filing and disclosure requirements under the Fair Political Practices Act.
